DSocSci (Canada)

Great to connect and learn in this project with all of you! My teaching practice and research are focused on climate and resilient leadership and explores the pillars of prosperity, fairness, and sustainability.

Currently, I am a principal investigator in the Research Centre for Sustainable International Business. Equity and justice are driving my teaching and research. I am passionate about working with students and support them into critical and reflective practitioners and human beings. In my research I focus on intercultural competence development and curriculum innovation for sustainability.

I am a professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and researcher at the Ingenio CSIC-UPV institute. I love applied creativity, innovation and multidisciplinary team management.

I’m a Lecturer in Economics and the Director of the Undergraduate Economics program at the University of Glasgow. My research focus has recently extended from environmental economics to the field of Education for Sustainable Development, a synergy that brings me a sense of excitement and purpose. However, what truly fills me with fulfilment and joy is to ignite the dreams and unlock the potential of young people. The core values that lead me are: compassion, justice, honour, dedication, and growth.

Judit Ungvári

I am a Research Innovation Officer at George Mason University’s Institute for a Sustainable Earth and Co-Lead of Research and Innovation at Future Earth. I am a biologist by training but have been working on the interface of science and policy for the past six years, especially focusing on facilitating transdisciplinary research on global environmental change. I live in Brooklyn, NY and work remotely since 2019. My core values include empowerment, integrity, respect, engagement.

I’m a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. Currently, I volunteer as an integrative psychotherapist with mental health charities in the UK.

My core values – humility, courage, freedom, dignity, congruence, and candour – guide me both professionally and personally. I believe that being part of a nurturing community is essential for a positive human experience.

I am a senior lecturer in marketing and entrepreneurship at the Liverpool Business School. My passion is to co-create and be part of communities of practice who are interested in being the change. Working with a wide range of people and using a broad definition of value my aim is to contribute to business education and practice by incubating change makers who can make a difference both in theory and practice.

I am an assistant professor of Finance at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. My primary research is in corporate finance and governance, to which I have added aspects of sustainability. I’m very interested in incorporating indigenous, sustainable, and equity-based methods into my teaching curriculum.

I am a senior lecturer at the University of Glasgow, Adam Smith Business School. What excites me most in being part of this project is that we are showing by example how people around the world can get together in taking action individually and collectively to make the world better and more sustainable.

My values include, be supportive, be positive and have hope, give the benefit of doubt, stand up for what is right and for others, diplomatic (not sure if this a value, but my style is non-combative), work hard to inspire the next generation.

Hi, I am a second-year Economics student at The University of Glasgow. My inspirations include the potential of cross-disciplinary partnerships to understand and create innovative solutions for complex environmental challenges. I believe in empowering local communities through education and practical initiatives, such as urban gardening and sustainable practices, to enhance resilience and promote self-sufficiency.

I enjoy tactile live events, getting involved is key, I like to learn by doing and like to experiment.

Hi, I’m 20 years old and I am a Agrifood and Biological Engineering student at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in Valencia, Spain, specialised in Horticulture and Urban Gardening.

As a very active person in my local community I strive to make a meaningful long-term impact on climate change action through small steps and international initiatives such as this one.

Hello! I am a student at the University of Glasgow, pursuing a joint degree in Geography and Business Management. In addition to my academic work, I volunteer as a conservation ranger at Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and have spent several summers working as a gardener. I am excited to join the expanding network for impact and connect with like-minded individuals!

Hi everyone, I am an instructor in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia and a Manager of Student Engagement & Transformative Learning with the UBC Sustainability Hub. I am interested in designing responsive and relevant integrative values-based curriculum and pedagogical approaches for the 21st century, through understanding the development of competencies for innovation toward sustainability.

I have been focusing on this area of education since 10 years ago, when I moved from Holland to Bali to work at Green School as Director of Learning and later on Teacher Development and Wellbeing Manager… My passion and drive focus on designing education to make a positive impact in the real world.

I’m very much interested to learn more about all your initiatives and especially the vision of the ‘Two-Eyed Seeing’, which connects a lot with my focus on bridging our Western vision with Indigenous wisdom. I can’t wait to continue this journey and inspire and learn together as a global tribe!

I work as an inspirator/business coach at the International Business School Maastricht (IB), within the International domain of ZUYD University of Applied Sciences. The school had been developing a fully student led learning trajectory in project mode for their IB Bachelor, which I joined launching in full.

Making your gifts, your talents, work in service of our natural world, is my highest value. It’s a lifestyle I came to live, chasing a career in the “business jungle”. You have to do the conscious work on yourself, to understand what Ramm Dass intends to convey with “We’re all just walking each other home”.

I am an Assistant professor at University Utara Malaysia’s School of Economics, Finance, and Banking. Currently, I am leading two projects, and I’m conducting research concerning the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, among other topics. I am very happy to learn from you and share our ideas, thoughts, knowledge, and experiences.

I’m a Chilean community-based scholar from Chiloé archipelago, Chilean Patagonia. My core values are rooted in more than twenty years of co-inhabiting an environmental sacrifice zone and working with marginalized communities. These principles guide and underpin my pedagogical and research practice that stands against any form of oppression and extractivism.

Rohan Choudhary

I’m collaborating as a Climate Impact Research Fellow with MIT, focusing on climate vulnerability modeling and policy translation. focus on making sustainability science accessible and actionable, empowering diverse stakeholders to take informed action. The diverse perspectives and collaborative spirit here continue to inspire my work at the intersection of technology, policy, and community impact. 

I am in the last year of my doctoral degree in Education Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have expertise in organizational change and school design. Previously, I served as a school leader in the Expeditionary Learning network, a network of schools focused on academics, character building, and authentic high quality work with a strong connection to nature. Now, I am interested in designing learner-centered education ecosystems.

Hi everyone, I work at Acadia U, Wolfville, NS Canada. I am excited to be invited to this community and the conversation. I have had a terrific career teaching high school art for nearly 30 years and teaching & mentoring teachers for 20. Over that time I have followed my curiosity and drive to bring people back to their imaginative creativity.

Hi Everyone! My name is Bev Williams, and I live in the beautiful Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada. I currently serve as part-time faculty in the B.Ed. program at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, NS. I am deeply passionate about nurturing a sense of wonder in learners and helping them develop a deep appreciation for the natural world. I strongly believe that regenerative practices must begin in early childhood, and I have expanded my teaching to include pre-service educators at the early childhood level in addition to Elementary and Secondary levels.

I’m Tony, a Full Professor and Faculty Associate Dean for Business and Law, at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, an inaugural lead for a pan faculty sustainability and climate research institute. I’m co-lead for a Swedish Research Council project in my visiting professor role at Stockholm University where we are engaging in the arts for transformational Higher education across subject areas.

Hello everyone! I am from Mexico and after living in the U.S, Canada, Sweden, I came back to beautiful Nova Scotia to live and work. I teach and do research in Saint Mary’s University in Halifax NS. I see co-production of knowledge as a fundamental approach for education that addresses sustainability challenges, and community-based experiential learning as a key way to prepare students to be creative, resilient and collaborative agents of change.

I am Aliaksandr Novikau, an Associate Professor and Department Chair at the International University of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. My research and teaching center around environmental policy, energy security, and sustainable development, all of which are interconnected. Hello everyone! I am glad to be part of this rich, diverse team and am very much looking forward to learning from you all. I work at Dalhousie University as an Assistant Professor (Faculty of Management), Adjunct Professor (Faculty  of Graduate Studies), and Management Librarian (Dalhousie Libraries). As you might have already guessed I have a very eclectic background. This underscores my never-ending thirst for learning, acquisition and creation of new knowledge.
