Students explore the spread of wealth/poverty in a country (home or abroad) and plans made by the government.
- Identify different future goals of life without poverty in a country (that currently struggles with poverty)
- Consider routes to achieving these asking questions like ‘What would happen if we ….?’
- Analyse possible consequences of the plans on poverty and the role of government, in light of the identified future goal.
- Reflect on the while system, supported by the opinions of formal and informal leaders (religious, cultural, business, etc.).
- Write a plan that can achieve the goal.

Project Drawdown: Students investigate the outcome of many different solutions to reducing CO2 .
- Students can be tasked with comparing or suggesting which solution has the biggest potential impact on lowering carbon in the atmosphere.
- Discussion could be based on national and global actions and laws that could reduce the negative impacts of climate change.
- The level of detail applied to the task can vary, depending on the level suite for your students.
- The website provides data for two emissions scenarios: emissions reduced/sequestered from a 1.5°C increase in temperature or a 2.0°C increase in temperature.
